A marathon big win for H+A Marketing + PR
H+A Marketing + PR has continued its run of fantastic new business wins with its recent appointment by Cork City Council to manage all the PR and marketing communications for the 2010 Bord Gáis Energy Cork City Marathon which will take place on the 7th of June next year.
H+A Marketing + PR secured the win after a competitive tender pitch process. The 2010 brief is to create a highly creative and innovative PR and marketing campaign that raises the Cork City Marathon’s profile on a local, national and international level.
Aideen McGrath, Director of Consumer and B2B PR who will lead the agency team said, “This is a very exciting project for us. The 2010 Bord Gáis Energy Cork City Marathon looks set to be the best course and run ever and through a mix of dynamic social media engagement and disruptive consumer promotions, we hope to persuade the masses that this is a ‘marathon for everyone’ and in so doing, create an uplift in visitors to Cork city next June and give a much-needed boost to charities and the local economy.”
With a record number of entries last year, the Bord Gáis Energy Cork City Marathon continues to go from strength to strength. In 2007, the marathon was reintroduced to Cork City after an absence of 21 years. Spearheaded by Cork City Council and organised in conjunction with Athletics Ireland (Cork) and the Cork Business Houses Athletics Association, the marathon is now established as a major annual event in the city and takes place each June Bank Holiday Monday
